Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that in the Yakut literary criticism in the study of epic works, coverage of the functioning of the poetic organization is not sufficiently developed. The purpose of this study, devoted to the study of the individual author’s picture of the world in poetic discourse, is to trace the poetic organization in the literary-processed text of the olonkho in comparison with the authentic northern olonkho. In accordance with this goal, the following tasks are set: to consider the rhythm in the literary processed text of the olonkho and in the authentic olonkho; determine the roles and functions of alliteration, identify the initial and final rhymes as characteristic features of an epic verse.

The basic material for the study was the texts of the Yakut heroic epics Nurgun Bootur the Swift by P. A. Oyunsky and Son of the Lour Er Sogotokh by G. F. Nikulin – Khabytta, an olonkho-teller from Abyisky District. The first epic text Nurgun Bootur the Swift is associated with the name of P. A. Oyunsky, the founder of Yakut literature, “the art designer of folk art”. The second text, Son of the Lour Er Sogotokh, is associated with the author – olonkh-teller, from whose words an epic text was written by the famous folklorist A. A. Savvin.

In Yakut literary criticism, the texts of olonkho were considered according to a special technique developed by the literary critic N. N. Toburokov, where the researcher for the most part examined in detail rhythm, alliteration and rhyme. In this case, the part of the epic that is read by the recitative is investigated.

This article describes the functioning of the poetic organization in the literary-processed and authentic texts of olonkhos by P. A. Oyunsky and G. F. Nikulin. During the study, the author concludes that the frequency of use, the length of a word in a syllable expression; rhythm, alliteration, rhymes reveal features in the literary-processed and authentic texts of olonkho. A distinctive feature in the versification of the northern authentic and artistically-crafted olonkho are the introductory parts, in which the functioning of the poetic organization varies significantly.
